Done...for a while

Sadly, the season opener at Jennings this year may also be the season closer for 2012.  Another engine down the drain.  That's 5 since I bought these bikes in 2010.  There's no excuse for such unreliability.  Unfortunately, at this point, I can't justify throwing good money after bad, so I'm going to park things for a bit.  I may very well part them out and try to recover what I can.  We'll see.

Disappointed doesn't even begin to describe how I feel.

I do want to thank my sponsors, who never let me down:  BioWeapon Fuels, Dunlop Tires, and PitBull.  Your support and generosity got me as far as we were able to go, and I couldn't have done it without you!

What an awesome event!  Two very hot days, for sure, but lots of fun in the sun with all my buddies.

Even though the event was completely sold out, it seems like everyone had a great time.  Traffic wasn't a problem in any of the groups, the weather held out (mostly), very few flags, and lots of hot laps!

I was happy to have the chance to work with riders in the Advanced group on Saturday.  It seems like everyone that I worked with got something out of it.  Hopefully we'll be able to keep doing this in the future.

Sunday was mostly a testing day for me.  I think I have my gearing and suspension settings for the races later this season.  I only got down to 1:34, but that was on pump gas and shagged tires, so I'm not too disappointed.

Next stop:  Road Atlanta with WERA.

Jennings Races

It was a hot and humid weekend!  Temps were up around 100 degrees, very hot for May.

Rear tire grip was my demon all weekend.  I just couldn't get the drive out of corners.  I made some major geometry changes which helped, but still couldn't get down below the 1:19s.

I ended the weekend with 4th place in the solo 20, 4th place in C Superbike, 5th place in C Superstock, and 1st place in Senior Superbike MW.  I skipped the B Superstock race - back-to-back with Senior Superbike was just too much.

Overall, I'm fairly happy with my performance and results.  I have some pretty good video to post up at some point in the near future...

Huge thanks to my sponsors - BioWeapon Fuels, Dunlop Tires, RM Racing, and especially to Thermosman for the spot-on suspension and geometry advice!

Unfortunately, I forgot to hit record for the B Superstock race, so no video for my 3rd place finish.
